Meet our Staff

Bethany Young, Kehillah Director

Bethany Young, Assistant Director, Kehillah Special Needs Program

I am originally from Upstate New York and attended Springfield College (’13) where I earned my B.S. in Health Studies.  During my 4 years at Springfield College I was a member of the Women’s Track & Field Team.  The spring semester of my senior year I found the Springfield JCC to complete my fieldwork. I completed my fieldwork in May and began working at the JCC Day Camp as the Travel Camp Director in June.

Following the completion of camp I immediately began working in the the Youth Wellness & Athletics Department where I served as the Youth Wellness Coordinator.  During summer 2014 while serving as Tsophim Unit Head at camp, I found myself gravitating toward Inclusion Campers.  After getting to know both the kids, and the para-professionals, I realized that this was an atmosphere I wanted to put myself in!

My time in the Kehillah Department has brought so much fulfillment to my life.  It’s been a joy getting to know your family and I look forward to continuing to provide the best programs possible for your child.

Kerry Hussy, Program ManagerOriginally from Central Maine, I studied Therapeutic Recreation at the University of New Hampshire (’08), and moved to Western Massachusetts in early 2010.  I have worked with kids and adults of all abilities in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings. I enjoy tennis, rock climbing, snow shoeing, board games, and curling up with my cats to read a good book or watch a funny movie. I look forward to getting to know all of our participants and their families, and look forward to helping the Kehillah Department continue to grow in number of participants, and in programs offered!
