Meet our Coordinator

Jacqueline, Linda’s daughter, arrived in 2001 and helped Linda find her true calling in the world of special needs

Linda LaPointe is the coordinator of Special Needs Programming for the Springfield Jewish Community Center’s Kehillah Programs. Prior to the birth of her daughter, Linda worked for 18 years with ARAMARK, a managed service company as a District Manager of Retail Dining and Catering Services. Jacqueline, Linda’s daughter, arrived in 2001 and helped Linda find her true calling in the world of special needs.

Prior to coming to JCC Kehillah, Linda was the Director of Residential Services for Berkshire Hills Music Academy, a post-secondary school for people with disabilities. When time allows she still volunteers as a Surrogate Educational Parent Advocate for the Department of Children and Families and delivers workshops for the Federation for Children with Special Needs on special education topics such as Turning Three, An IEP for Your Child, MCAS and Transition.

In 2008 Linda came to the JCC to help continue to develop the Special Needs programs. Linda loves her work at the JCC and the children, adults and families that are part of the Kehillah Program. She feels that she gets as much from working with them as they do from anything she does for them.
