Kim is from Somers, New York and came to the JCC in 2008, where she began to teach Adaptive Aquatics. Prior to her arrival at the JCC, she taught swim lessons for children of various ages in Westchester, New York. Kim is an American Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructor. Her education includes a B.S. from Wheelock College with a concentration in Childcare and is currently pursuing her graduate studies at Bay Path College in ABA. Kim is a very dedicated swim instructor and has proven to have a very high success rate with her students, which can be attributed to her philosophy that people need to enjoy being in the water and that learning to swim is a benefit that turns into a lifestyle later in life. She thoroughly enjoys water and to go along with that kayaking. Snow shoeing is also an interest. Her favorite color is purple and she loves the Sound of Music. But most importantly of all, chocolate is her favorite food!
