What an amazing group of kids…
…and Counselors!
We had two great weeks of inclusion camp! Twenty two campers fully integrated into our JCC Summer Camp with the support of 2:1 inclusion staff. We also had an additional five experienced inclusion campers (from previous years) move on to full camp without additional support staff. This is the true meaning of inclusion and a tribute to our wonderful camp counselors who have embraced the JCC motto of “Everyone is Welcome”.
There were so many success stories in sensory tolerance, social interaction, positive behavior interactions and so much more. It truely was our best session of Inclusion Camp yet….cant wait to see what new accomplishments we get to be part of in our next set of Inclusion Camp weeks, August 6 – 10 and August 13 – 17.
